The Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) in Guwahati is actively engaged in clinical research, focusing on non-communicable diseases, particularly lifestyle-related conditions. Their research encompasses clinical trials, pharmacological studies, medicinal plant research, and drug standardization efforts. CARI has been involved in various clinical trials, including prospective studies and randomized controlled trials, to evaluate the efficacy of Ayurvedic interventions in managing conditions such as coronary artery disease and malnutrition in children.
